Tarantulas are giant and scary, and despite being many times their size, humans are scared witless and don’t want anything to do with them.
The same goes for wasps, as nobody is willing to provoke their deadly sting.
But have you ever daydreamed what it would be like to see nature’s most repulsive insects take each other out?
Anything is possible in nature.
Above is a video filmed by a bunch of folks at Wichita Mountains in Lawton, Oklahoma featuring a brawl between a tarantula and a wasp.
The video starts out a bit slow, and the tarantula even runs from confrontation by escaping into a hole.
But the real action begins in the latter half of the video, and if you watch it, you will see why this video has over 2 million views on YouTube.
Also, for educational purposes, this wasp is not a ‘normal’ wasp.
It is a species of wasp called the tarantula hawk that specializes in hunting tarantulas for food.
Just in case you thought the wasp coincidentally had a massive grudge towards the tarantula.
Below are some more fights between bug heavyweights.
Bumblebee in spider’s web rescued by other bumblebee
If your bro was stuck in a web and about to be eaten alive what would you do?!
Of course, you would save him, right?
Well the same code holds true for bumblebees, as we see bumblebee #2 use his sting to take out the predator spider with deadly accuracy, hence saving bumblebee #1.
And just for clarification, honeybees die when they sting, not bumblebees.
So this was not a suicide mission, and so it was a happy ending.
