As a follow-up to last year’s “Scratch My Back,” a collection of cover songs, Peter Gabriel is doing another cover album but this time of his own work sans bass, guitar, and drums, according to NME.com.

The 12-song release “New Blood” features Gabriel classics including “Don’t Give Up,” “In Your Eyes,” and “Red Rain” reworked with the help of composer-arranger John Metcalfe and performed by Gabriel and the 46-member New Blood Orchestra.

Along with the CD, a “New Blood” 3-D DVD will be available. Filmed over two nights at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo, London, the video captures a handful of songs from “Scratch My Back,” but the majority of tunes hail from the new disc.

“New Blood” hits stores Oct. 10, and the “New Blood” Tour starts in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Nov. 13.
