BAGPIPES IN PAKISTAN: The turbans of a band of retired Pakistani military bagpipers and drummers are pictured in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Bagpipe playing is a Scottish tradition but was adopted by the Pakistani army after British colonial rule. Retired army musicians continue to earn a living by playing at weddings, parties, and other social functions.
