NEW YORK—A three-course prix-fixe lunch for $25 only means one thing: It’s Restaurant Week in NYC. With the special week approaching at the end of the month, nearly 300 fancy restaurants are beginning to accept reservations Monday.
NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2013 operates Monday through Friday, with Sundays optional, from July 22 through August 16.
Three-course prix-fixe dinners are $38 (excluding beverages, gratuities, and taxes).
“Our restaurants provide the setting for two-hour mini-vacations that rejuvenate and inspire, and you don’t have to travel thousands of miles, because you can enjoy the varied cuisines of the world right here,” said Tracy Nieporent, chairman of NYC & Company’s Restaurant Committee, in a statement.
Among returning restaurants are the Atlantic Grill at Lincoln Center, Blue Water Grill, Brasserie 8½, Butter Restaurant, Carlyle Restaurant, Cipriani Wall Street, David Burke Townhouse, Fig & Olive, Gramercy Terrace, Nobu New York, Palm Tribeca, Tribeca Grill and ‘21’ Club.
This year will also include exclusive benefits for American Express card members, who will receive a $5 statement credit each time they dine out, spending $25 or more at participating restaurants.
Google Maps is a first-time participating sponsor of NYC Restaurant Week this year. Guests can use Google Maps to get directions, reviews, and preview dining destinations with Street View and Business Photos.
