Santa Claus is almost halfway through his journey around the globe, according to NORAD Santa Tracker.
At 6:15 p.m. EST, Santa Claus flew over the City of Lights, passing by Paris’s Eiffel Tower and Louvre Museum.
As children anticipate the arrival of Santa to their homes, NORAD Santa Tracker documents Santa’s journey with radar, satellites, Santa Cams, and even fighter jets.
His approximate route around the globe includes the South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, continental Asia, Africa, Western Europe, Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central America, and South America.
NORAD, the joint U.S. and Canadian military center in charge of monitoring and defending North American air space, and its predecessor, the Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD), have been tracking Santa’s Christmas flight for more than half a century.
