This year’s London Olympics won’t be boring. A Muse song, named “Survival,” has been selected by the London Olympic committee as the main official song for the summer Olympics, the British rock band announced on Wednesday.

The five-minute track begins with a romantic and lyrical tune, but it progresses into nothing like the typical symphonic Olympic songs. It is a Muse original with lots of guitars and drums that lives up to the energy and extravaganza that lead singer Matthew Bellamy, bassist Christopher Wolstenholme, and drummer Dominic Howard are known for.

“Matt wrote the song with the Olympics in mind,” the band wrote on its website. “It’s about total conviction and pure determination to win.”

The song will be played throughout the July 27-Aug. 12 Olympic games, including when athletes enter the stadium, in the lead up to the medal ceremony, and as a theme for all international television coverage.

The song will have its radio debut Wednesday evening at 7:30 (2:30 p.m. EDT) on BBC Radio 1 worldwide and is recorded on YouTube and available on iTune for $1.29.

Muse, formed by the group of school friends in 1994, has sold an estimated 15 million albums worldwide and are set to release their next studio album, named “The 2nd Law,” in September followed by a European tour.

]“Survival” is one of five official songs being composed for the Olympics, but it remains the main one. The other artists involved are Elton John and Pnau, whose song will be released on July 16, Delphic on July 23, Chemical Brothers on July 30, and Dizzee Rascal on Aug. 6.

Below is the lyrics of the song:

Race
Life’s a race
But I’m gonna win
Yes, I’m gonna win
And I'll light the fuse
And I'll never lose
And I choose to survive
Whatever it takes
You won’t pull ahead
I'll keep up the pace
And I'll reveal my strength
To the whole human race
Yes, I am prepared
To stay alive
I won’t forgive
Vengeance is mine
And I won’t give in
Because I choose to fight
Yeah, we’re gonna win

Race
It’s a race
But I’m gonna win
Yes, I’m gonna win
And I'll light the fuse
And I'll never lose
And I choose to survive
Whatever it takes
You won’t pull ahead
I'll keep up the pace
And I'll reveal my strength
To the whole human race
Yes, I’m gonna win
Yes, I’m gonna win
