Ninety-one martial artists from 11 countries gathered in New Jersey to participate in the 8th NTD International Traditional Chinese Martial Arts Competition, taking part in a shared mission to revive martial virtue.

The awards ceremony took place on Sept. 2, with martial artists receiving gold medals in the male unarmed and male weapons categories.

The competition is unique in its focus on only traditional Chinese martial arts styles and its mission to revive martial virtue, a code of conduct required of traditional martial artists.
It’s also part of a series of cultural events hosted by NTD, a sister outlet of The Epoch Times, to revive traditional culture. NTD, a New York-based global television network founded by Chinese Americans who fled communism, stands for New Tang Dynasty, a reference to the cultural golden age of China.
