NEW YORK—Paris-based baker Eric Kayser is adding more bakeries to Manhattan. Maison Kayser, with a location already on the Upper East Side, recently opened another location in the Flatiron district.

In addition to coffee and baked goods such as pistachio financiers ($4.50) and raspberry tart ($6.50), the bakery also features French-inspired bistro cuisine by recently appointed Corporate Chef, Olivier Reginensi.

Its baguette was also named Best Baguette by New York magazine. Its menu infuses French classics with mostly seasonal local and organic ingredients.

They serve French dishes such as the Cocotte de Saumon & Ratatouille, which is a roasted Atlantic salmon served over a traditional summer vegetable ratatouille, and garnished with parsley and basil; and the Chavignol & Figues, an organic mesclun salad seasoned with lemon vinaigrette, garnished with fresh black mission fig and tomato.

They serve also serve Filicori Zecchini coffee, from a nearly 100-year-old family-run Italian coffee company.

Keeping up with the speed of New York, Maison Kayser has extended their “grab-and-go” sections in their new locations, now serving sandwiches, salads, breads, pastries, coffee and juices.

The Flatiron location can seat up to 62 people inside, and its outdoor café can seat up to 37 guests.

New Maison Kayser locations are also opening soon in Columbus Circle and Bryant Park.
