For visitors, getting around Long Island’s North Fork area will get easier starting July 7, with the debut of the free North Fork Link.
Luxury vans will ply a hop-on, hop-off route from Riverhead eastward to Greenport, stopping at points along the way. The service will operate every 30 to 45 minutes, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Saturdays between July 7 and Aug. 25. Visitors arriving on the Long Island Railroad can catch the shuttle service in Riverhead, Mattituck, and Greenport.
Stops include Jamesport Vineyards, Bay View Market & Farms, North Fork Chocolate Company, Sang Lee Farms, Laurel Lake Vineyards, downtown Southold, Riverhead Ciderhouse, and many more.
On July 7, the first 50 riders will be entered in a drawing with a chance to win an overnight stay on the North Fork. An Instagram contest will offer a chance to win a wine tasting and dinner at a local restaurant.
Real-time information and location updates are accessible through the North Fork Now app. The North Fork Link is an initiative from the North Fork Promotion Council. For more information, see NorthForkNow.org/nofolink
