Now moored at Rockefeller Center is Limani, the 8,000-square-foot second location of the Long Island Greek restaurant.
Greek for “seaport,” Limani focuses on seafood. Besides its traditional charcoal grill preparation, the restaurant also offers fish baked in a sea salt crust. Executive chef Alam brings his own style with dishes like Trikilino Bottarga, cured grey mullet served with crostini, and Astakomakaronada, lobster prepared with linguini and tomato sauce. The beverage list includes over 400 wines as well as a broad selection of domestic and international beer.
As with the original restaurant, the new Limani features an open kitchen and a market display of fish, along with a dramatic setting.
