This reissue of Let’s Wrestle’s debut album has been repackaged with an extra CD of hard to find early singles and EPs. It’s a ramshackle affair that combines elements of the Oi! punk genre with sardonic social commentary on such things as going to the local job centre and making a cup of tea – reminiscent of Splodgenessabound’s hit Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps Please. On one level this is a bunch of loveable wide boys making throwaway instant tunes. But there’s also a prolific song writing talent here on an album filled with infectious pop ditties that mostly stay the right side of annoying and would almost certainly go down better live.
