VIENNA, Austria—Event manager Mr. Koska and his friend, Ms. Binder, attended the first Shen Yun Performing Arts 2009 World Tour show at the Wiener Stadthalle on April 5, and they were most impressed with the professionalism in all aspects of the show.
Mr. Koska learned about Shen Yun’s performance in Vienna from an advertisement in a newspaper. “We love dance, acrobatics, and different types of performances, therefore we decided to see this show. We absolutely loved it, especially the costumes and the choreography. It was all very beautiful,” said Mr. Koska.
His friend, Ms. Binder, an accountant from lower Austria said, “I truly loved the show and am very impressed with the elegance depicted by the dances.”
The vivacity of the colors also stood out for Ms. Binder. “The colors were dazzling, so colorful. This color combination, one would not expect that they would truly look that great and match so well. One must say that this was really accomplished.”
She was also fascinated by the final farewell by the artists and the choreography.
Fascinated by the Live Music
Also at the show was Ms. Brücker, an executive assistant. Though having no prior exposure to Chinese culture, it was her sister’s occupation which inspired her to come to see Shen Yun. “My sister is a geography professor and had been to China several times. That is where my interest came from.”
Ms. Brücker appreciated “the dances and the grace,” and she described the intricately designed costumes as “colorful, with a nice presence.”
Of the orchestral music the Vienna audience were treated to, she said, “I am fascinated that it is live music and not from a disc.”
