At the New York Botanical Garden, a Japanese pop-up by Stephen STARR Events opened last weekend, and runs until Oct. 26. It accompanies the current exhibit “Kiku: Art of the Japanese Garden.”

Located in the Garden Terrace Café, it is open Fridays through Sundays (as well as Oct. 13 for Columbus Day) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The culinary experience aims to mirror the elegant designs of Kiku. The menu features fresh sushi and sashimi, bento boxes with Miso-Glazed Chilean Seabass or Tamari-braised Beef Short Ribs, and Tempura Prawns with spicy ponzu.
