Leonardo da Vinci’s masterwork “The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne” is the centerpiece of an exceptional exhibition at the Louvre in Paris through June 25. It brings together compositional sketches, mathematical diagrams, preparatory drawings, and landscape studies to illustrate the slow and complex creation process of the painting, which was left unfinished upon da Vinci’s death in 1519.
