NEW YORK—Shen Yun’s Saturday evening show at Radio City Music Hall concluded with more rave reviews from audience members. The Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company has been performing on center stage at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan for the past two weekends.
Judith Bookbinder, vice president of creative communications at Hearst Magazines, said she “enjoyed every second” of the Saturday evening show.
“I think it’s great—absolutely enjoyable,” said Ms. Bookbinder, who said that she found every aspect of the show wonderful. “It was outstanding. I love the colors, I love the choreography, I love the costumes, the staging—it’s brilliant.”
Shen Yun brings “leading dancers, choreographers, vocalists, and musicians from around the world” to revive the five-thousand-year old Chinese heritage, says its program book.
She also noted that the presentation of Shen Yun stood out for her as “traditional and simple and elegant.”
“[The show was] spiritual, beautiful,” said Ms. Bookbinder. “The dancing was extraordinary, as was the effort.”
Hearst Magazines is one of the world’s largest publishers of monthly magazines, with 15 U.S. titles and nearly 200 international editions, according to their Web site. Some of their magazine titles include Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar, Redbook, and many others.
