PASADENA, Calif.—The Chinese New Year Spectacular was the perfect place for families to gather on New Year’s Eve at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
Adrian, who manages an international team for a software company, and her 11 year-old daughter, Casey, loved the Spectacular. Adrian said she liked the “persecution piece [Persecuted on a Sacred Path].I like the idea that they succinctly represented what was going on in a hopeful way.” She said, “The good will conquer, if not here on earth, then somewhere else.”
Casey described the show as “fun” and, smiling, added that the “Monkey King [The Monkey King Triumphs] was exciting and funny.”
Her mother continued, saying the show is “something to share with the whole family. I don’t have to worry about what my child is going to see.” For many other families, too, the Chinese New Year Spectacular was a perfect way to bring in the New Year.
