NEW YORK—The international food festival Good France returns to New York this year, with events that celebrate Provence.

It runs through March 23, offering tastings, dinners, and classes.

Anne-Claire Legendre, New York’s French Consul General, said in a press release, “We want New Yorkers to feel as if they were actually on the old port of Marseille, sharing a Bouillabaisse made with Mediterranean fishes, to drink a rosé wine with the same leisurely pleasure as if they were having an apéritif at the Calanques. Make them travel with a plate and a glass.”

“Let them remember how the Mediterranean Sea has been a fantastic crossroads of influence. A little sun, a lot of friendship, tons of talent, that’s the recipe!” she added.

Events include a five-course wine dinner pairing with Pascaline Lepeltier at Racines NY (March 22, 7 p.m.); a six-course gala dinner to benefit the Food Dreams Foundation with Chef Dan Bessoudo (March 22, 7:30 p.m.); an advanced wine boot camp with Lepeltier at La Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels (March 23, 3:30 p.m.); a seven-course dinner to benefit City Harvest with Chef Gérald Passédat and Chef Eric Ripert at Le Bernardin Privé (March 23, 6:30 p.m.); and an after-dark wine tasting with Lepeltier at Aldo Sohm Wine Bar (March 23, 9 p.m.)
