There is nothing quite like a story of when best friends are reunited. And what better friend is there than man’s best friend to tell us the meaning of friendship!
A 62-year-old man named Giorgi Bereziani, from Tbilisi, in the country of Georgia, had lost his dog, Jorge, back in 2015. The man obviously loved his dog. Giorgi put up posters with a picture of Jorge and never gave up searching for him ever since then.
Three years later, Giorgi got a call from a local opera house, whose employees had seen the posters and a dog that looked a lot like Jorge roaming the neighborhood near their building.
Giorgi rushed to the scene immediately and spotted a black-and-white dog sleeping in a stone planter along a sidewalk. It was Jorge! The owner decided to film the encounter as he closed in and called out in his native Georgian language, “Jorge, is that you? Jorge, it’s you! Oh, dear boy, how are you, boy?”
Friends walk side by side in the march of life. Though we may part ways at times, we shall remain in each other’s hearts, and sometimes, we are lucky to meet again. That’s worth celebrating, and Jorge is proof of that!
