When the owner of Kelburn Castle from 13 century decided to give his home modern look he really went on loud. The walls and the turrets located just outside of Glasgow, Scotland became canvas of four Brazilian graffiti artists. Their bold makeover was quite an art statement in world conservative Scottish countryside. But it soon became widely popular tourist attraction. Now Kelburn Castle is ready for another change.
Concrete facing added in 1950’s damaged the castle’s walls and will be taken down next summer to protect structural integrity.
The owner said they'll hold a contest for architects and artists to come up with equally unique design.
