‘The Wild Robot’

Following a shipwreck, self-aware robot Roz (Lupita Nyong'o) finds itself stranded on a desolate island. It eventually builds unexpected relationships with the island’s creatures and takes on the responsibility of raising an orphaned gosling.

Inspired by Peter Brown’s children’s book, this movie combines wit and creativity—aiming to be a thrilling adventure. However, the film humanizes the robot, a morally murky film trend that obscures AI’s potential to replace humans in many ways.

When dastardly aliens invade Earth and kidnap its superheroes, their pre-teen children, led by the resourceful Missy Moreno (YaYa Gosselin), devise a plan to rescue them. To succeed, they must unite, harness their unique powers, and become an extraordinary team to save the world from an overwhelming threat.
The film has its share of campy moments, but they’re balanced with playful fun. Despite a predictable plot, it conveys a message about the younger generation stepping up to create a better future. Features some light peril.

The Story of Oskar Schindler

Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson), a German entrepreneur initially driven by self-interest, becomes an unexpected hero during World War II. After witnessing the brutal persecution of his Jewish workers by the Nazis, he turns his factory into a refuge, saving many from Auschwitz. 
This true story highlights how even those motivated by personal gain can grow spiritually and even become symbols of hope and compassion.  With its striking cinematography and standout performances, it offers a moving and thought-provoking experience.

The Struggles of an Aging Couple in a Changing World

‘Make Way for Tomorrow’

This classic follows Barkley (Victor Moore) and Lucy (Beulah Bondi), an elderly couple who are separated when they lose their home. With their children unwilling to house both parents, the couple struggles to find adequate shelter.
With standout performances from Moore and Bondi, and a fantastic supporting cast, this film is both profoundly moving and masterfully crafted.
