When a mouse (James Corden) grows hungry for food, it travels through a forest to find nuts to eat. While searching, the mouse encounters a series of predators that want to eat it, so it devises a clever strategy to outwit them.

The story is simple yet meaningful, with likable animal characters. The animation style is fluid and the narrative unfolds cleverly with an interesting twist. It promotes a positive message of using one’s wits instead of violence to overcome challenges. It’s a highly enjoyable movie for the whole family.

A Family’s Fight Against Criminals

‘Ransom’

Millionaire Tom Mullen (Mel Gibson) and his loving wife Kate (Rene Russo) face a nightmare when his son is kidnapped for a $2 million ransom. Initially willing to pay, Tom changes his strategy after the drop goes wrong. Enraged, he announces on national TV that the ransom money is now a bounty on the kidnappers.

This is a highly polished entry from director Ron Howard—fast-paced and suspenseful, yet oozing with enough atmosphere and intrigue to make for perfect entertainment for fans of thrillers.

‘Rails Into Laramie’

When the Army sends Jefferson Harder (John Payne) to Laramie to figure out why a railroad is taking so long to complete, he encounters a gang of oddball characters including his old friend Jim Shanessy (Dan Duryea) and dancehall girl Lou Carter (Mari Blanchard).

This is an engaging, feel-good B-western that features a memorable cast of characters, and lots of witty dialogue.
