NEW YORK—The Eleventh Street Arts gallery packed a full house at the opening of Wrap Me Up: Winter Small Works Show on Nov. 17. The small, intimate paintings and drawings by 51 artists seemed to emanate a cozy and lively atmosphere in the gallery that evening. A live jazz trio from the gallery’s Jersey City neighbors, the Fifth Hammer Brewing Co., livened up the evening even more.

The group show includes a couple of small sculptures and over 100 portraits, landscapes, figure and still life paintings and drawings by highly skilled artists from the Water Street and Grand Central Ateliers.
It’s a timely show ahead of the holidays and for anyone wanting to start collecting art. Prices range from $150 up to $9,500. Most works are priced around $2,000. Toward the end of the evening, at least nine pieces had already been sold and wrapped up.
“Wrap Me Up” runs until Jan. 20, 2017.
Eleventh Street Arts gallery will be open to the public on three shopping Saturdays: Nov. 19 at 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Dec. 3 and Dec. 10 at 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and by appointment: [email protected]
