Located in Times Square West, East & West opened last week, within Yotel New York. A dining and lounge concept from China Grill Management, the menu offers dishes, as befits its name, from the East and the West. Executive chef Bradley Day creates shareable plates like crab stuffed deviled eggs with blue crab and horseradish mustard, or miso-glazed black cod with Chinese broccoli. Steve Magliano created the cocktail list, including the Tsunami (nori-infused Beluga vodka and citrus brine with black lumpfish caviar kettle chip).
Modeled after a business class airline lounge, East & West offers a variety of spaces: laptop-friendly communal tables, lounging areas, and comfortable counter seating for solos to a casual dining area and private meeting spaces.
