TAICHUNG, Taiwan—After missing the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) show last year and being eager to see the show this year, the 91-year-old former president of the Tunghai University, Mr. Mei Kewang, made it to the DPA show on the evening of March 7, with the two vice presidents of the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, Dr. Ding Yihao and Dr. Jiang Wenguo.

As a figure who has spared no effort to promote Chinese culture, President Mei highly acclaimed the DPA show presented. He especially expressed that it was very good to use the divinely bestowed culture as a background to exhort the world’s people to be good.

As the incumbent president of the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, former president of the Central Police Academy, director general of a department at the Ministry of National Defense, and the founding president of the Chinese Aquatic Security Rescue Association, Mr. Mei is still very concerned about the current social situation.

“Wonderful,” Mr. Mei commended after watching the DPA show attentively, with high spirits. He gave further praise, “The dance was spectacular and very powerful. The choreography was excellent, and the backdrops were very beautiful. It was a truly successful performance. ”

After knowing that most of the dancers are overseas Chinese brought up in the United Stated, he admired their contribution to Chinese culture. He added, “These overseas Chinese from the United States are really remarkable.”
