After watching the Divine Performing Arts’ third show in Florida on Dec. 20, Chinese immigrant Wan Ling said she was eager to tell her family and friends in China about the show.
Wang Ling came to the United States five years ago as a nurse. Wang said the show, with its authentic Chinese cultural presentation, reminded her of home. She said the show was one of a kind in and outside China.
Wang said her favorite program is the dance “Persecuted on a Sacred Path.” “It was so touching, and felt so real,” Wang said. “My brother-in-law is a Falun Gong practitioner, so I know clearly about the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of Falun Gong.”
She said the dance gave her inspiration and confidence. “I firmly believe that goodness will defeat evil, as the dance drama showed,” she said.
Wang said she could not wait to call her family and friends in China and tell them about the show and the authentic traditional Chinese culture it presented. “I’m calling them tonight,” she said.
