SYDNEY—An elderly trio from mainland China enjoyed seeing Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company again at the matinee session at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre, on Wednesday, February 16.

Mrs. Wei has visited Sydney many times. She first saw Shen Yun in 2008, and thereafter has returned to see the show at every opportunity. However, a big draw card for her is having the opportunity to see Tenor Guan Guimin sing again on stage, as she remembers listening to him in China many years ago. Mrs. Wei said that despite his age, he hasn’t aged at all since that time.

“Tenor Guan Guimin’s singing is so good. He is so sonorous, full of energy,” she said.

Mrs. Wei was also deeply touched by the lyrics that Tenor Guan Guimin sang. She said that they carried a very deep meaning for her.

“It is too beautiful, I am so happy, I can hardly find my expression,” she commented, when talking about how she felt upon leaving the theatre. Mrs. Wei said that on her return to the Mainland, she will tell all her friends and family about this memorable experience.

Mrs. Ma thought that Shen Yun Performing Arts was at the top of it’s game.

“Absolutely world top class,” she said.

Having seen the true Chinese culture which has by some, been described as a ‘divine’ culture, displayed on stage, through dance, music, song and stories Mrs. Ma felt deeply grateful toward Shen Yun.

“As a Chinese, I am very proud seeing that we Chinese people have Shen Yun Performing Arts. I felt warmth at the bottom of my heart. I was very moved.” she said.

This was Mr. Li’s second time of seeing Shen Yun this year. He reflected that Shen Yun is of exceptionally high calibre.

“From the backdrop, costume, performers’ techniques, to music, everything looks as if having reached its highest possible point,” he said.

Being Chinese, Mr. Li was happy to see the ancient culture of his people brought back to life and so respectfully and sensitively portrayed through using traditional art forms.

“I think the program is excellent. As a Chinese, I am very proud.”

He also commented that in his life, he has never seen such a wonderful show.
