NEW YORK—Edward Chapman is CEO of Marchesa, a fashion house known for elegant, lavish evening dresses. He saw Shen Yun Performing Arts at Lincoln Center on June 23, and found the experience most unique.

“I would say come and see it for yourselves, because you will have never seen anything like this before” he said.

“It’s really so beautifully done, so energetic, and the choreography is spectacular.”

The Shen Yun New York Company presented the best of their dance numbers and music from a repertoire of five seasons. As a fashion executive, he was naturally responsive to the colors in the performance. He said “the choreography and the colors are really, really beautiful.”

Also in attendance was Brooke Geahan, who works in publishing technology. She said the show was fascinating and “It’s truly a kaleidiscope of colors and movement and absolutely beautiful.“

She said she had no idea what classical Chinese dance was about until this evening.

“It’s magical. Super, super fun. I loved the tenors as well, they were both fantastic, but the second one was really incredible.”
