Businessman: Shen Yun Has Unlimited Commercial Potential

GOYANG, SOUTH KOREA—Zhou, a businessman from China watched Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company’s last show in Goyang on January 30. Zhou commented after the show, “If Shen Yun Performing Arts could perform in China and open up the market there, its commercial potential would be unlimited, let alone its values in promoting culture and preserving civilization.”

At 2 p.m. on January 30at the Aram Nuri Theater, Shen Yun Performing Arts concluded the South Korea leg of its Asia-Pacific tour.

After seeing the show, Zhou said that Shen Yun truly displayed the essence of traditional Chinese culture. “The show revealed traditional Chinese culture through the artists, costumes and stage props.

“The show has a first-class director, artists and hosts. They seem to be influenced by the traditional culture profoundly. If Shen Yun could perform in China and open up the market there, its commercial potential would be unlimited, let alone its values in promoting culture and preserving civilization.

“I believe the day will come soon. I hope it will be in 2012,” said Zhou.

Zhou though the program “Recalling the Great Qin” was sending a message of regaining the tradition of ancient Chinese culture. “China has the richest culture and history of all countries in the world,“ he ssaid. ”From the aspect of reincarnation, Shen Yun is a sign that the Chinese Renaissance is coming.”

Zhou said he had heard about Shen Yun long time ago. “I am still amazed today after seeing the show.

“The traditional culture was presented by the artists as well as the high-tech animated background projection. It really blew my mind and one cannot find such presentation in China.”

Zhou felt sorry that such a great performance was not allowed in China. “This is so sad,” he said.

“The Chinese overseas did a wonderful job in preserving and promoting Chinese culture. Most of the audiences here today are Korean. The applauses did not stop the entire show. I was reluctant to leave after the show. If it is possible, I will bring my family to the show next year.

“This is a rare opportunity, such a little portion of Chinese people actually have the chance to see Shen Yun’s show. I am very grateful to the friend who introduced this show to me.”
