At 121 miles Cox’s beach bazaar is easily the longest beach on the world. The beach is aptly named as it is located in the Cox Bazaar district. However a part of the beach’s name also comes from the founder of this great beach, Captain Cox. The sandy white beaches are an ideal place to have leisure breaks and it draws a huge number of foreign tourists as they love the quietness and tranquility of this place. Compared to the other top beaches in the world, this one is definitely less crowded even on weekends.
2. Kuakata
One should head for the Kuakata beach which is known for the white sand and the beautiful sound of the waves crashing against the shores. It is very new tourist resort and the most beautiful point in South Bangladesh. The beach is 30km long and is good for leisure activities. The surrounding areas have developed a lot with the opening of a number of restaurants and souvenir stores. Communication is not a problem as WiFi service is available here. No wonder Kuakata easily makes into the list of best beaches in Bangladesh.
3. Patenga Beach
The Patenga beach is located just 14km from Chittagong. The blue waters of the sea are truly mesmerizing and many tourists come here to view the magnificent sunrise and the sunset. The beach bay has a number of rock boulders which makes the place even more captivating.
4. Inani Beach
The golden sandy beaches are a part of the long stretch of beach in Cox Bazaar. It draws a large number of tourists for its coral boulders which are uniquely shaped. The natural beauty of the Inani Beach is maintained as there are no establishments near or on the beach. Almost every travel guide on Bangladesh has included the Inani Beach in their list of the best beaches in Bangladesh.
5. St Martin’s Island
It is a small island located near the southern fringes and just 9km from the peninsula of Cox Bazaar. The island is a well kept tourist spot and locally this place is known as the ‘coconut island’. More than 3000 visitors come here every day to witness the fascinating beach of this quiet beach. The usual din associated with beaches is thankfully missing here and it rightfully described as one of the best beaches in Bangladesh.
