Today, as we drown in a flood of corruption, too many people are ready to give up and go into survival mode. It seems easier for many to compromise their beliefs and forget their values. They may not realize that if they do this, they’ll guarantee that the evil wins.
The War on Men
Offering the perspective of a young black man on this important subject, Fox News host Lawrence Jones’s new book, “American Man,” dismisses the notion that masculinity is toxic. He sees men as indispensable to thriving families and prosperous societies.Mr. Jones focuses on the responsibility of men to fill the cultural void that woke ideologues have been happy to exploit. As he sees it, the many roles that a man can play such as protector, educator, provider, and so on, can fill that void. Mr. Jones wants men to be willing to do the work to create harmony in their homes and, by extension, in society.
In the past, conservative values were reinforced in school and in society as a whole. Not today. Now, it’s hard to raise a traditional man. But for that reason, many men are living a life without ultimate purpose.
This is a very personal book for Mr. Jones as he shares stories from his upbringing. He uses his own beliefs in an honest discussion about what it means to be a man in America. He also includes interviews he conducted with his Fox colleagues and other well-known people to validate his conclusions.
Mr. Jones says in his book that silence about this problem isn’t love. “The risks we run in speaking out are real, but the risks we run by staying silent are potentially catastrophic.”
Women Take Action
In her book, Jacqueline Toboroff profiles 12 moms from varying socioeconomic, religious, racial, and political party affiliations who live a life of integrity by standing up for their children’s rights.Through the personal journeys of these mothers, the book shows the approaches taken to fight back against Marxism on all fronts.
The profiles include mothers with outstanding accomplishments. Among those featured are Kali Fontanilla, the Founder of Exodus Institute which supports homeschooling; Kimberly Fletcher, the founder of Moms for America, a national movement of mothers to reclaim our culture for truth, family, freedom, and the Constitution; and Madeline Brame, the chairwoman of the Victims Rights Reform Council and New York director of BLEXIT, an organization that documents blacks exiting from the Democratic Party.
Readers will enjoy reading the different biographies and perhaps get insight into their own lives. I love how this book not only tells readers what is happening to children today but gives the reader guidance about what to do.
Sticking to Principles, Not Taking Sides
American lawyer and law professor Alan Dershowitz, having written a number of books defending the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and, most recently, Israel, lives a life of integrity. In fact, he has a book about this very thing, called “The Price of Principle.” It’s is a very personal book on the efforts to cancel him and destroy his career because he insists on sticking to his principles instead of choosing sides in the current culture and political war dividing our country. He feels that we are suffering a new brand of McCarthyism and doesn’t want any part of it.
His latest writings visit our diminishing civil liberties. “Get Trump” is really not so much about Trump but about ignoring American civil rights in order to achieve the short-term objective of ensuring that Trump will not be elected president in 2024. Mr. Dershowitz, a Democrat, crosses party lines in order to express his concern that the Constitution of the United States is being attacked through the trials against President Trump. He notes in his book, “The essence of justice is that it must be equally applicable to all.”
In his book, “The Case Against the New Censorship,” Mr. Dershowitz talks about the effect Big Tech, progressives, and universities have on our society and on freedom of speech. He believes in the marketplace of ideas with people expressing the widest range of opinions that usually leads to the best thinking.
In past books, Mr. Dershowitz made a great case for the cause of Israel. He explains the Israeli-Palestine conflict clearly and believes Israel should be praised and supported, not condemned.
Mr. Dershowitz has a new book coming out next month called the “War Against the Jews,” which gives some background on the Hamas attack of Oct. 7 and on Israel’s response.
With so much antisemitism displayed in our country currently, I feel this will be one of his most important books.
