With a major case of writer’s block, I decided to have some fun with Google search’s auto-complete and see if it could generate some ideas. Here are a few questions Google thinks are interesting to people.
Why does ice float?
Ice is less dense than water. Most liquids actually become more dense when they freeze, but not water. That’s because hydrogen bonds in water molecules adjust when the temperature drops below 40 degrees Fahrenheit (4 degrees Celsius) to hold negatively-charged oxygen atoms apart, explains Dr. Anne Helmenstine on About.com.

Why does my cat lick me?
Your cat is grooming you. Cats lick each other to groom each other and share scents, so as Discovery’s Animal Planet explains, you cat is “cleaning you and claiming you.” When cats scratch at something, they are also releasing scent from glands on their paw pads to mark their territory.

Where is Chuck Norris?
Chuck Norris lives on a ranch near Navasota, Texas, according to a Yahoo article written by William Tapscott. It is called the “Lone Wolf Ranch.” Tapscott describes it: “The ranch Chuck Norris lives in is a lot like Chuck himself. It is rugged, unique, and a massive demonstration of martial arts and action hero paraphernalia.”
No mention of Chuck Norris is complete without one of the ever-popular Chuck Norris jokes.
This came up in the Google search for where Chuck Norris is:
