The average person is estimated to consume an extra 600 calories a day between Thanksgiving and New Years. Here are four holiday foods to avoid. This will help also help you avoid the winter weight gain.

1. Egg Nog

Egg Nog is a big culprit when it comes to weight gain. This frothy drink is packed with cream, sugar, and eggs. Ranking up high in numbers in cholesterol, saturated fat, and calories.

2.  Loaded Baked Potato

Loaded Baked Potato can leave you loaded with extra pounds. Especially if lots of butter or margarine is used during its preparation.

3. Crab Cakes

Another of those waistline wreckers is a buffet favorite - Crab Cakes.

4. Pecan Pie

In all of the holiday pies, nothing is worser than a slice of pecan pie. The majority of calories comes from a sweet splurge of sugar, and corn syrup. Instead just stick with some raw nuts, then you will get a healthy dose of some monounsaturated fats, that is filling but still leaves you looking lean.
