14-year-old Breanna was overcome with emotion hearing her mom’s voice clearly for the first time in her life. The teen had moderate to severe hearing loss since she was a baby and has only been able to hear muffled sounds.
Breanna tried hearing aids and therapy but when her hearing continued to worsen, she received a cochlear implant. The small electronic device allows those with hearing loss to clearly hear sounds.
