Dear Epoch Times,
I just wanted to let you know a little something about myself, and what I hope for in receiving your paper. I know it must be a little strange to have one of your new subscribers contact you like this, but here it is.
To tell you the truth, I have never put much stock in the news, I’ve always felt that we aren’t being told the truth and that there is an agenda behind the stories we do get. That’s the reason I don’t really watch, listen, or read news-related media. I have kept up some but I always find myself skeptical and with more questions than answers, and that’s why I really haven’t bothered. Now I find myself with a new hope of honesty and truthfulness in reporting and it’s your paper. I have been reviewing your content and feel refreshed as well as hopeful.
Your paper will be the first subscription I have purchased in decades because of my disillusionment in news media, shall I say propaganda. It has felt more like a media for advertising and diversion than anything else to be quite honest.
In short at this point, I believe that your paper will be one that is honest and believable, and I will feel this way until if and when you demonstrate otherwise.
Please don’t disappoint.
Thank you for taking the time to read this email.
Sincerely, Jane W.
