America was granted the unique opportunity to take a look at what’s really “behind the curtain.” Thanks to the unprecedented tenure of outsider Donald J. Trump as president, we were finally shown just how deep and wide the “swamp” truly is. More than anything else, I am thankful to the Trump presidency for that.
When Toto pulled back the curtain, we could see the wizard turning dials. When President Trump pulled back the curtain, even he was shocked by what he saw. The curtain went on and on, and to this day, it is still being pulled back. Behind that curtain is most of Congress and the Supreme Court, governors, mayors, business leaders, so-called scientists, school boards, and most of the media, and the list continues to grow every day. The big difference is that we now have a new wizard named Joe Biden, a lifelong politician who doesn’t even know or care that he is not hidden behind a curtain. It is rather like “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” in that everyone now sees what is going on. It is no longer a secret, but even though people care, no one seems able to do anything about it. In true Orwellian fashion, the stories are changed for tomorrow’s papers, and those who speak out are silenced “for the public good.” But the main issue has become, “What are we going to do about it, and who will lead the charge?”
What is the last straw? We have been lied to about the pandemic and it’s only getting worse; the new administration is busy reversing the gains that the Trump administration managed; stocks are plunging; the pipeline and all those jobs are history; the Chinese are telling Biden what is expected of him, and the list goes on. The media, our so-called leaders at every level, medical “experts,” and business leaders are all spinning the dials and pulling levers, and they think they are hidden by the Emperor’s New Curtain! They are no longer hidden, but “We the Sheeple” have become too apathetic to do anything about it. We had hopes that President Trump would lead us back to sanity, but we all know how that turned out. We are waiting for a shepherd to come on the scene—someone with the idealism of Adams, Washington, Jefferson, or King David. Perhaps we will wait long ...
