Right to Know
If food is genetically modified, we have a right to know about it. It is only fair that we know what is in our food. If there is nothing to hide, there should not be resistance by companies to truthfully label food.Vermont has already passed bills requiring labeling of food. Please ensure that New York follows suit.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Toxic Enough
New Yorkers have a right to know what is in our food, and a bill in the Legislature will make sure we know by labeling food that is genetically engineered.Speaker Silver needs to bring the GMO labeling bill (A 3525) to the floor for a vote before session ends June 19th.
Our food and our environment is toxic enough without eating mad scientist projects developed by Big Ag and Big Pharma companies profiting from our exposure to their experiments, especially without our knowledge or permission!
Informed Choice
Speaker Silver needs to bring the GMO labeling bill (A 3525) to the floor for a vote before session ends June 19th.A label doesn’t imply good or bad—rather, it merely states what is in the product so we can know what we’re buying. Labeling is not a new concept. Federal laws require labeling of foods if they are pasteurized, homogenized, frozen, from concentrate, or irradiated. Adding GMOs to this list is simply giving consumers the right to make an informed choice.
Vermont has passed labeling and other states are considering similar bills. NY lawmakers should stand up for residents who deserve the right to know.
