Ohio Congressman John Boccierri released an official statement expressing his move to support the health care bill despite intense pressure from a conservative Ohio collective.

Boccierri stepped up in front of a group of staunch conservative Ohio constituents in Washington and voiced his decision to vote for the Democratic born health bill that is up for a vote in the House.

Boccierri made his move with limited support and stated that he is not as concerned with his politcal future as he is with doing what is right.

“Today we’re faced with a choice—a choice to pass an imperfect bill or do nothing—and there is a cost to both,” said Boccieri as posted in a transript from his website.

“This health care debate has been long, thoughtful, and emotional.”

“We continue to bear witness to statistics manipulated, political philosophies challenged, and television commercials peddling their points of view.”

Although the majority of the officials in Ohio do not agree with Boccieri there have been a few that do and Natoma Canfield the 16th District Constituent from Medina, Ohio is one of them.

“I hope this bill will pass and I think it will do a lot of good for a lot of people. I think it will be a good start and I am so glad Mr. Boccieri decided to support the bill,” said Canfield in an official statement.

Boccierrri affirmed that his choice is based on the good of the people rather than the interest of big bussiness.

He believes that the bill contains positive Republic ideals and wishes more politicians would support.

“I am weighing the views of our district and have reached the inescapable conclusion that people back home like Natoma Canfield, from Medina, Ohio, should not have to fight her insurance company as she fights for her life.

I believe the nearly 40,000 citizens in our district are capable of making their health care choices than insurance company bean counters,” said Boccieri.

President Obama is set to speak about the bill Friday and other key political figures are sure to follow suit. The House will make their vote this weekend.
