Many thanks for your enlightening article about Dennis Prager, “The University is Infantilizing Its Students,” in the American Thought Leaders series. It is spot on, very accurate, and very frightening.
The Left is waging war on free speech. It’s painfully obvious all around us. Dissenting opinions are stopped, and the only thing leftists want is an echo-chamber filled with like-minded cheerleaders. Whatever happened to sentiments like that expressed by Evelyn Beatrice Hall, “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it”? I can only conclude that conservative opinions are too well supported by logic and reason, and therefore cannot be answered by leftist pseudo-intellectuals. All they can do is shut such opinions down.
In addition, we are being fed non-scientific nonsense that men can have babies, that there are more than 2 genders, and so on. Truly, as the Prager article says, “today universities, especially the non-STEM departments, are worse than wastelands.” I’m reminded of Shakespeare’s words in Julius Caesar, Act III, Scene 2: “O judgment! Thou art fled to brutish beasts. And men have lost their reason.”
The current groupthink being promoted by our universities is appalling and disgusting, and will surely lead to intellectual mediocrity.
May God help our great country to survive this anti-intellectual disease. And thank you, sir, for having the moral courage to publish such articles in your great and unafraid newspaper.
