Thank you for putting the good news section [“Inspiring News”] summary at the top of the home page. It is nice to value good role models over bad, and to set the tone for what is normal, or at least should be, in our lives.
But may I make a small suggestion for making it even better yet?
The good news often involves people who are especially burdened in life due to illness or tragedy, and then some good Samaritan helps them out. Hence, the good news often has a component of bad news (that a person was burdened by something bad). How about reporting on good news?
As some generic examples ... my hometown paper used to report when someone got a big promotion. So some already clever man or woman did hard work and managed to reach even further. Oftentimes, we would know the person or their family. As another example, the paper would report when someone invented something new and useful. In general, the paper celebrated the building of a better future.
Good news can even happen to people who are just living regular lives. Good news can speak to us personally. People are always looking for role models, and those role models apply even in our daily lives when nothing bad has happened.
One more example of something good happening for all of us: The Epoch Times. Good work.
Sincerely Yours,
Thomas Walker Lynch
