“Beware Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing Hunting Our Sheepdogs” [by Christopher C. Hull, published in the June 9–15 edition] was an interesting, informative, and alarming reflection on the plight of most police departments that are losing officers every day in the current attacks by the various “wolves.” I say “most” since the article, unfortunately, in my opinion, erroneously connects the photo to the gist of the article. Specifically, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, as I understand it, is NOT located inside Washington, D.C., but in Virginia. The references in the article point directly to D.C. problems and those, in my opinion, do NOT reflect the pride, dedication, and successes of the MWAA police. A follow-on story on them would surely reflect the “positive” side of being a police officer in today’s chaotic mess.
