This Wednesday, Feb. 8, many people came from the Drôme, Ardèche, Haute-Loire and, of course, from the Lyon area to partake in this revival of 5,000 years of civilization.
“The movements are fantastic, the costumes are beautiful and the music goes very well with it. Frankly, I loved it and I will come back next year, that’s for sure,” he said.
Pierre Thébault also comes from Ardèche. This former administrative director said he was “blown away” by the show.
Gilbert Veysseyre used to be an executive in the pharmaceutical industry and is now retired.
“What a beautiful orchestra with all the dances well adapted to this beautiful music!” Mr. Veysseyre
Pierre Thébault said he felt “a little bit in a dream, in the imagination, because the quality of the animated backdrop and the scenery is extraordinary. It leaves us a bit stunned ... It is frankly very well done, very, very well done.”
Peace, serenity, and hope were words repeated by the theatergoers.
According to Pierre Thébault, Shen Yun “can bring us serenity, and hope, because it talks about traditional values.
Gilbert Veysseyre hoped the show would “bring us peace and serenity. What would we like? To hold hands all together to have this peace in the world, this serenity, this tranquility and this beauty that we discover. If men could try to understand each other well!”
“What is a human? We are only passing through ... So let’s try to reflect a little bit and not look with cruelty at what is happening and what we can do.”
