It was inspiring to see the positive themes, even in parts depicting persecution, Mr. Moses said. The performance was divinely inspired and he would love to see it again. “You can see it in their faces and the costumes, the way that they hold themselves, their posture—everything seems very refined and divine.”
Claire said she felt happy and joyful and is inspired to think that she might perform like the dancers on stage.
Everything Has Meaning
Business owner Donovan Largent brought his wife and daughters to Shen Yun Performing Arts performance as a Christmas gift. He didn’t know what to expect but found it enjoyable and delightful, and found the choreography phenomenal.
Even though he didn’t know a lot about Chinese culture before he came, Mr. Largent was impressed by it, especially the divinely inspired message experienced from the dances, the choreography, and backdrop, and how it applies to every human being. “It’s like everything we do. There’s a reason we do it, whether it’s for us or a Supreme Being.”
“Every piece that we watched today has a meaning behind it, ... if you can understand that meaning.” The dances have meaning for all: “When we do things that hurt us, it hits right to the core, and a lot of what we see here with the dancing and the belief, I see that.”
