Dr Valeska Ormazábal V. is an Associate Professor at the Universidad de Concepción, Chile. Her research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of glucose uptake and cell metabolism, focusing on diabetes mellitus. She has currently investigated the release of small EVs from the placenta and their role in developing complications in the offspring of mothers with gestational diabetes mellitus.
