Thursday Travel to Design: Spanish-Style Wrought Iron

Thursday Travel to Design: Spanish-Style Wrought Iron

One of our favorite aspects of Spanish interior design is the use of wrought iron. It’s a gorgeous addition to any home - from railings to light fixtures and even doors! Wrought iron brings a certain rustic charm to interior design, and the intricate scrollwork that’s commonly found on wrought iron pieces brings real beauty.

A classic way to get the look is with a gorgeous chandelier! These are perfect for entryways and dining rooms.

Spanish decor often has an eclectic feel, so mixing materials such as wrought iron and wood are great ideas. A wrought iron chandelier looks incredible against a rustic wooden ceiling! If you want to go for a lighting fixture but are looking for a slightly more subtle effect, wall sconces are great choices as well.

Another option is to choose wrought iron interior railings. This is an especially beautiful look if you have a prominent or winding staircase in your home.

And of course, using wrought iron furniture is a must! Side tables and beds are great options.
