No matter what size your home, you can still make room for entertaining.

The secret to entertaining in a small area is to look for furniture and accessories that are small, compact, and portable. By using portable accessories like bar carts and portable beverage tubs you'll be able to make the most of your space, and have guests over for dinner and drinks this summer.

Don’t be dissuaded by a lack of space. Here’s how you can create the perfect bar in your home –ideal for entertaining.

Accessories

Fortunately, having limited space doesn’t mean that you can’t pull out all the stops as you would with a bigger bar. Even if you’re crunched for space, you can still invest in some much-needed accessories like serving trays, beverage tubs, or glacettes. These accessories don’t take up much space, but they can make all the difference when it comes to entertaining.

Drinks and Drinkware

Don’t forget about the drinkware! Equally important to the bar area is what you serve and how you serve it. Be sure you have enough glasses to serve the drinks that you plan on having. A good bartender never runs out of clean glasses. You should also have a place to store drinks to keep them cool.

Bar Cart

If you don’t have a lot of room or a designated area for a bar, simply carve out some space in the corner of a room. Having a bar cart on wheels is a great way to keep the party rolling, no matter where you are entertaining your guests. A cart makes it easy to keep everything together in one place –no need to haul cups and drinks back and forth between the kitchen and the patio.

Are you thinking about incorporating a bar area into your home?
