Amy Locane, known for her role on the hit television series “Melrose Place,” was charged with vehicular homicide on Monday, following a car crash in New Jersey.
Locane, a New Jersey native, was driving in Montgomery on Sunday night when she lost control of her Chevy Tahoe. The accident occurred around 9 p.m. on Cherry Hill Road, reported the New Jersey Star Ledger.
The collision resulted in the death of Helene Seeman, a passenger in the car with Locane. The actress later admitted to police that she had been drinking before the time of the accident. Seeman died at the scene of the accident.
Police have also linked the actress to a hit-and-run accident in Princeton, New Jersey earlier this year.
The actress went in front of Superior Court Judge Robert Reed and her bail was set at $50,000. Locane could serve up to ten years in prison if convicted, reported the Los Angeles Times.
Locane played Sandy on “Melrose Place” and appeared in the films “Airheads” and “Bad Karma.”
