Adam Sandler’s Grown Ups pulled together a star-studded cast and finished in a solid second place after the skyrocketing Toy Story 3, which came out on top over the weekend.
Sandler appeared on The Daily Show as well as Jimmy Kimmel Live with Grown Ups co-star and longtime comedian Chris Rock. The pair brought jokes with them in their usual style that received a host of laughter from audiences at both shows, reported Entertainment Weekly.
Rock took some time to make light of fellow Grown Ups co-star Rob Schneider on The Daily Show after a quip from the show’s host Jon Stewart.
Grown Ups brought in $41 million over the weekend with the film costing $71 million to produce.
Toy Story 3 was the highest earning film for the weekend, bringing in $59 million. This last weekend was the second number one weekend for Toy Story 3, which has now made an estimated $227 million, reported the New York Times.
