Following the city-wide inundation of Yichang in Hubei Province, the floods hit downstream cities the following day on June 28.

Many neighborhoods in Wuhan were soaked in water one after another from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Yichang is the second largest city of Hubei Province, and is the first city immediately downstream of the Three Gorges Dam, while Wuhan is the capital and largest city of Hubei, located 200 miles further downstream from Yichang.
