Australia’s emerging miners, refiners and battery suppliers fear they’re losing out to foreign rivals and uncapped tax breaks in the clean energy race.

Warren Pearce, head of the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC) which represents more than 500 businesses, says there are “hard truths” that need to be recognised in the upcoming federal budget.
