United Parcel Service (UPS) is now hiring 10,000 people—with pay ranging between $21 and $23 an hour—in Southern California to prepare for the upcoming holiday season, a UPS spokesperson told The Epoch Times.
Jobs are available for applicants in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernadino, and Ventura counties.
Nearly 80 percent of positions don’t require an interview, and the company’s use of digital applications streamlines the process, so it takes less than 20 minutes for most applicants, according to UPS.
Jobs available include full-time and part-time seasonal positions for delivery drivers, Commercial Driver’s License drivers, and package handlers. Package handlers and driver helpers will start at an hourly rate of $21 per hour while driving jobs start at $23 an hour.
According to UPS, 50,000 seasonal employees hired in the past two years have earned permanent positions with the company. UPS also offers benefits and an Earn and Learn program where eligible employees can earn up to $25,000 for college tuition and expenses.
“Working at UPS is more than just earning a paycheck. For many, it becomes a life-long career with strong, reliable pay and benefits, great opportunities for promotion, and paid education. At UPS, anyone can succeed,” a UPS statement read.
